RPG magnet started as a way for creator Kevin Kossow to vent the frustrations of returning to the US after spending years in the war zones of Afganistan and Iraq. With the addition of an Iraqi war veteran Elliot , RPG Magnet has found great success in the electronic rock and industrial communities. Many songs are first person narratives of events and emotions that many will never have to know; holding a dying child, struggling as a homeless teen, struggling with posst war trauma, and much much more. With a constant evolution of sounds, RPG Magnet is always making something fresh and new! The live shows are not to be missed, with the main electronic beats being spun through digital turntables, and live parts "mixed" in real time, the sound and sights create an electricity in the air that is hard to forget!
By combining state of the art electronic technology and live instrumentation, the sounds put together by RPG Magnet are unlike any you have listened to before. Each song is recorded in many layers, woven together to form dramatic compositions. Each time you listen to a track, you can find a new groove, sound, tone, or droning undercurrent. The year 2009 has brought some very interesting turns for RPG Magnet, including a very productive sabbatical in Antarctica for Kevin Kossow. After arriving in Antarctica in Feb of 2009, Kevin began to take in the stunning surroundings in the world's coldest, highest, and dryest continent. The spectacular views soon vanished as the sun went down for many months, bringing about weather patterns of pure unadulterated violence. All of this led to the creation and finishing of RPG Magnet's 2nd album, Dance In Darkness. With new adventures ahead, we are certain you will be able to experince the farthest reaches of the world through the audio interpretations of RPG Magnet!
